A request may also be made to extend patent protection to two further European states, namely Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro. It is therefore possible to obtain patent protection in 40 European countries by filing a single patent application at the European Patent Office (EPO).
It has recently been announced that it will become possible to extend European patents to cover Morocco at a future date. This is the first time that an agreement has been reached between the EPO and a non-European state.
If you require further information or if you would like to file a European patent application, please contact Wynnes.
